White Poppy Volunteer Evenings

White Poppy Volunteer Evening 2017

Join us for a White Poppy Volunteer Evening!
6.00 - 8.00pm, Wednesday 11 October 2017
Peace Pledge Union, 1 Peace Passage, Brecknock Road, London N7 0BT

Come, join a merry band of volunteers helping to parcel up and send out white poppies across the land!

Each year the Peace Pledge Union send out white poppies to remember all the victims of all the wars, counter the glorification of war, and build a culture of peace. This is a huge task for an organisation with a dedicated but small staff team - so it relies on volunteers....like you!

There will be tea, biscuits (gluten-free and vegan!) and a warm and friendly space! Feel free to just turn up, new folk are very welcome. It's good to know you're doing something practical to build peace, when the world is so girm.

Access: The office is an older building. There are small steps to access the building. We'll be on the ground floor, and there is a ground floor toilet. This is a standard toilet without any adaptions and unfortunately there is not enough space for a chair / bulky mobility aids. The environment won't be very loud / busy but relaxed. There will be upright chairs, and you can sit throughout. If you have any concerns / questions or ways we can support access let us know.

Any questions, please get in touch at mail@ppu.org.uk or on 020 7424 9444.
